Importance of Industrial Bio Fuel

The shift toward Biomass Briquettes is driven by the urgent need for carbon neutrality and rising fossil fuel costs. India, a signatory of Kyoto protocol 2002, is commited to reduce carbon emision and become carbon neutral by year 2050 to fight globalwarming

As fosil fuel remains the primary source of carbon emision in the globe, Energyplus has come forward to do its part in this mision by providing clean green carbon neutral fuel to the industry.

Biomass Briquettes represent a strategic bridge to sustainable engineering.

Energy Plus Advantage

Clean Green Biomass Briquete: With an objective to provide industries an alternate to fosil fuel at affordable price to reduce the menace of CO2 emision,Energyplus group has established a manufacturing plant at the outskirt of Kolkata to manufacture 'Clean Green Biomass Briquete', made of 100% agro waste, a fuel encouraged by environmentalist, Polution Control Boards and Governments across the globe including India

Supply Security: Our 1.5-acre plant, one of the largest in South Bengal, ensures that industrial clients have a guaranteed, year-round fuel supply, mitigating the risk of seasonal shortages.

Our goal is to provide our clients with the highest quality biomass briquetes made from seasonal agro waste and wood waste.

Energy Plus Biomass Briquetes

The Product: So far we have produced briquetes made of Saw Dust, Wood Chips, Ground Nutshel, Beetel NutShel, Paddy Straw, Mustard Husk & Stalk and JuteStick.

Environment Friendly: No chemical is used during manufacturing of briquetes.

The transition to biofuels is an essential strategy in our mission towards a cleaner, healthier and more prosperous future for generations to come.

Environmental Stewardship

Carbon Neutral: Biomass releases only the CO2 it absorbed during growth, creating a closed carbon loop.

Sulphur-Free: Briquettes eliminate Sulphur Dioxide emissions—the primary cause of acid rain.

By utilizing agro-waste (Mustard husk, Paddy straw, Sawdust), it prevents farmers from burning waste in open fields, significantly reducing seasonal smog.

Economic Advantages

Lower Steam Cost: On average, the cost to generate one ton of steam using briquettes is lower than LDO, FO, or high-grade Coal.

Price Stability: Fossil fuel prices fluctuate wildly with global markets; biomass, being locally sourced agro-waste, offers more predictable pricing.

Compared to most of the conventional fuels, it is economical to use biomass briquete. Total cost to generate 1 ton steam or 1 LacKcal heat is lower than most of the conventional fuels.

Superior Combustion Performance

Lower Moisture Content: High-quality briquettes (like Energy Plus’s 90mm range) have moisture levels between 6–10%, whereas raw wood or coal can exceed 25%.

Minimal Ash Content: With an ash content of only 2–8%, there is significantly less clinker formation and lower disposal costs compared to coal.

Compressed briquettes provide a steady, uniform heat output, ensuring consistent steam pressure in industrial boilers.

Operational Efficiency

Uniformity: The consistent shape and size allow for automated feeding systems, reducing manual labor for boiler operators.

Equipment Longevity: The absence of sulphur and toxic chemicals reduces fireside corrosion in boiler tubes, extending the life of the pressure parts.

Briquettes do not emit fly ash or toxic fumes, creating a safer, cleaner workspace for site engineers.

Social Benefits

Higher Income for Farmers: Income goes up as farmers get price for their waste.

Rural Income Generation: Biomas briquete production is manpower intensive, leading higher rate of employment and income opportunities for local communities, especially in rural areas from where raw material is sourced and plant is located..

A Biomass Briquette Plant improves economic condition of entire local community.
